Neem oil is a vegetable oil pressed from the fruits and seeds of the Neem, an evergreen tree which is endemic to the Indian subcontinent. In Indian tradition, Neem is one of the most important herbal ingredients, not only in fighting health problems but also as a component of the earliest skincare and cosmetics. Even the wind blowing through the foliage of the Neem tree was thought to have healing properties.
