Henna is a natural dye derived from the dried, powdered leaves of the Lawsonia inermis plant, also known as the henna tree. It is used for temporary body art, particularly Mehndi in India, Pakistan, Africa, and the Middle East, where it stains the skin with a reddish-brown colour.
