Selenite is named after the Greek goddess of the moon, Selene because of its soft white light and many metaphysical and healing benefits. With its pristine white color, it will look breathtaking next to different colored stones and crystals. Selenite is excellent for attaining mental clarity. It is a self-cleansing stone, and can also be kept in the close vicinity of other crystals to cleanse them of their stored negative energies.

Some have more gem-like spots (caused by selenite strands growing in a different direction) and some have fewer spots. All will be more or less clear through the very centre.
